MATHS

Mathematics is the language we use in the search of certainty. As far from the Elements of Euclid, the humankind looked for answers for the most elemental questions, exact and unambiguous answers. Mathematics is the way we can understand the Universe and all within itself.

With this topic I want cover some philosophy of mathematics including comments and personal thoughts from authors such as Whitehall, Russell and Gödel, some Algebra and Analysis divulgation and an approximation to probability and its applications, as social networks, financial or weather prediction and complex and dynamical systems regulation.

A traffic problem and Reynolds transport theorem

  • Reynolds transport theorem

Mathematical models about problems like public transportation regulation or traffic jams allow to analyses and simulate solutions before implement it. The Fluid Mechanical theory can simulate situations as traffic jams.

Since the traffic within the cities across the world is a huge problem, there is an untiring search of ways to improve the traffic regulation. The state-of-the-art of solutions involves complex mathematical models from other fields such as fluid mechanics.
