You are here: Victor Fuentes / Who I am

More about me…

Who I am

I’m Víctor Fuentes from Barcelona, Spain. I believe hardly in self improving thus I apply myself. I never left to study, to gather knowledge about different topics such as railway technical issues, internet technologies or mathematical philosophy.

What I do

Apersonal site is like a showroom. In this I want to share my interests and knowledge. Here you could find personal thoughts, research about the topics covered or simply experience and enlightenments. In detail I want to  talk not only about CAD/CAE, Railway and Mathematics but Usability, Social Networks or Architecture.

Why I do

My aim always is ‘be in motion‘, it doesn’t matter if improving professionally, studying or even playing sport. All my interests are, in some way, reflected in this site, each article or comment has a reason, they are because I wanted to learn more about the topic, investigated and share my conclusions.

  • A traffic problem and Reynolds transport theoremFebruary 12, 2012, 11:11 pm

Mathematical models about problems like public transportation regulation or traffic jams allow to analyses and simulate solutions before implement it. The Fluid Mechanical theory can simulate situations as traffic jams. Since the traffic within the cities across the world is a huge problem, there is an untiring search of ways to improve the traffic regulation. [...]

  • High-speed train aerodynamic analysisSeptember 12, 2011, 10:51 pm

In the railway high-speed lines exploitation arises some problems such as aerodynamic drag forces. The circulation of trains at commercial speeds of up 300 km / h involves a number of difficulties in the field of aerodynamics. On the one hand the energy cost of a train traveling at 300 km / h, on the [...]
